Yesterday we made Sushi again and I was again crammed with Sushi :p
Here are the instructions to make Sushi...
What do you need?
Sushi Rice
Nori
Japanese rice vinegar
Soy sauce
Desired:
Salmon fillet
Trout fillet
Cucumber
Surimi sticks
Mayonnaise
Sushi rice:
Put 250 g of rice in 350 ml cold water, when you want the same amount sushi on the picture you want to use 500 g rice in 700 ml cold water. Bring to a boil. Let boil for 10 minutes with the lid. Remove from heat and let the pan with lid for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, do some of tablespoons Japanese rice-vinegar in a small saucepan. Add 1,5 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon salt. Place the pan over heat until the sugar dissolves.
After the sushi rice is cold, you create the rice-vinegar through it. Do not stir but, gently through creating.
The nori's you can get to fire some crisping. This prevents the elastic while eating. Hold the nori's not too long on fire, because they can burn.
Place nori on a sushi mat. Add a hand full of rice on the nori. Divide the rice so that a thin layer is created (as in the picture). Put the contents in it (at will). Here I used cucumber, trout fillet and surimi sticks.
Now roll the sushi. Make sure it's tight. Roll te mat and rolls back the rest of the sushi.
So looks the sushi's after they are rolled. Then cut them into small pieces.
